In Thursday's league match, the visiting San Pedro Pirates softball team scored a tight 5-4 victory over the Banning Pilots.

The Pirates (7-9) will now prepare for their match against Gardena (Gardena, CA). The Panthers go into the Marine match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, Gardena was nipped by Carson (Carson, CA), 24-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Pilots battle the West Warriors (Torrance, CA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, April 11. Banning will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Warriors go into the match with a 12-5 record after their 11-6 league win over South (Torrance, CA).
