Palmetto Mustangs (Williamston, SC) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pendleton Bulldogs (Pendleton, SC), 6-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Palmetto improves its record to 13-6 on the year. The Mustangs host Powdersville (Greenville, SC) to face the Patriots in a AAA Region 2 game on Friday, April 10. The Patriots enter the game with a record of 7-5. Powdersville won 26-0 in their recent league game against Carolina Academy (Greenville, SC)

The Bulldogs now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Seneca for a non-league game on Friday, April 10. Pendleton will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Westside (Anderson, SC). The Bobcats record now stands at 12-7.
