Virginia High School Baseball - Turner Ashby defeats Fort Defiance
May 1, 2023: Fort Defiance, VA 24437 Turner Ashby Knights (Bridgewater, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA), 8-3 in a non-league test.
With the win, Turner Ashby upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Knights travel to Broadway (Broadway, VA) to battle the Gobblers in a Valley test on Tuesday, May 2. The Gobblers come into the test with a record of 11-5. Broadway won 6-0 in their recent league test against Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA)
With the defeat, Fort Defiance falls to 7-8 on the season. The Indians travel to Riverheads (Staunton, VA) to battle the Gladiators in a Shenandoah test on Friday, May 5. The Gladiators come into the test with a record of 9-4. Riverheads lost 3-1 in their recent league test against Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA)
