May 1, 2023: Columbus, NC 28722 The Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) soccer bounced the visiting Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), 4-0 in Monday's league bout.
With the victory, Polk County moves its record to 12-3 on the year. The Wolverines travel to East Rutherford (Forest City, NC) to confront the Cavaliers in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A bout on Tuesday, May 2. The Cavaliers enter the bout with a record of 9-5. East Rutherford won 2-1 in their recent league bout against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)
In their next game, the Trojans confront the Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A bout, on Tuesday, May 2. Chase will attempt to move on its 3-11 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 5-10 record after their 1-0 league loss to Brevard (Brevard, NC).
