Connecticut High School Baseball - Springfield Commonwealth Academy holds off Marianapolis Prep
May 1, 2024: Thompson, CT 06277 Springfield Commonwealth Academy Tornadoes (Springfield, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Marianapolis Prep Golden Knights (Thompson, CT), 9-5 in a non-league test.
With the win, Springfield Commonwealth Academy upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Kingswood Oxford (West Hartford, CT) to battle the Wyverns in a non-league test on Saturday, May 11. The Wyverns come into the test with a record of 12-4.
With the defeat, Marianapolis Prep falls to 5-6 on the season. The Golden knights travel to Rivers (Weston, MA) to battle the Red Wings in a non-league test on Friday, May 3. The Red Wings come into the test with a record of 9-3. Rivers won 11-1 in their recent league test against Thayer Academy (Braintree, MA)
