Virginia High School Soccer - Grayson County held off by Galax
May 1, 2024: Independence, VA 24348 The Galax Maroon Tide held off the host Grayson County Blue Devils soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Wednesday's league match.
The Maroon Tide now sport a 9-1 record. They play next when they host Graham for a non-league match on Friday, May 3. Galax will encounter a G-Men squad coming off a 6-2 league win over Marion (Marion, VA). The G-Men record now stands at 10-1.
With the loss, Grayson County drops to 4-8 on the season. The Blue devils travel to Giles (Pearisburg, VA) to encounter the Spartans in a Mountain Empire match on Monday, May 6.
