New York High School Softball - Carthage topped by Lowville
May 1, 2024: Carthage, NY 13619 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Lowville Red Raiders (Lowville, NY) softball team overwhelmed the host Carthage Comets (Carthage, NY), by a margin of 17-0.
With the triumph, Lowville moves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Red Raiders host South Jefferson (Adams, NY) to play the Spartans in a Section 3 Frontier B contest on Friday, May 3. The Spartans come into the contest with a record of 8-1. South Jefferson won 11-3 in their recent league contest against General Brown (Dexter, NY)
In their next game, the Comets play the Watertown Cyclones (Watertown, NY) in a Section 3 Frontier A contest, on Thursday, May 2. Carthage will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Cyclones come into the contest with a 4-6 record after their 9-3 league win over Indian River (Philadelphia, NY).
