Hamilton Huskies (Chandler, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 21-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Xavier College Prep for a 6A Premier challenge on Friday, May 3. Hamilton will face a Gators squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Sunnyside (Tucson, AZ). The Gators record now stands at 25-4.

With the loss, Corona del Sol falls to 11-21 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ) to face the Jaguars in a 6A Central challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 10-20. Desert Ridge won 19-8 in their recent league challenge against Highland (Gilbert, AZ)
