In Thursday's league match, the visiting Anchor Bay Tars softball team scored a tight 4-3 win over the Romeo Bulldogs.

The Tars (8-5) will now prepare for their match against Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, MI). The Big Reds come into the Macomb Area - Red match with a 8-7 record. In their last match, Chippewa Valley nipped Grosse Pointe North (Grosse Pointe, MI), 9-6, in a league match.

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI) in a non-league match, on Saturday, May 3. Romeo will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record.
