Michigan High School Softball - Ishpeming succumbs to Negaunee
May 1, 2025: Negaunee, MI 49866 In Thursday's league test, the Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI), by a tally of 17-4.
Next, the Miners clash with the Bellaire Eagles (Bellaire, MI) in a non-league test, on Saturday, May 3. Negaunee will attempt to advance on its 3-6 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 11-0 record after their 10-4 league win over Johannesburg-Lewiston (Johannesburg, MI).
The Hematites (0-4) will now prepare for their test against Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI). The Mountaineers go into the Mid-Peninsula test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Iron Mountain was routed by Negaunee (Negaunee, MI), 15-0, in a league test.
