New York High School Softball - Oneida edges Vernon-Verona-Sherrill
May 1, 2025: Oneida, NY 13421 The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Oneida Express (Oneida, NY) and the visiting Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils (Verona, NY), observed Oneida's softball team get by Vernon-Verona-Sherrill by a tally of 9-7.
The Express (2-4) will now prepare for their bout against East Syracuse-Minoa (East Syracuse, NY). The Spartans go into the non-league bout with a 2-5 record.
In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Holland Patent Golden Knights (Holland Patent, NY) in a Section 3 Tri-Valley bout, on Monday, May 5. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Golden Knights go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 14-0 non-league loss to South Lewis (Turin, NY).
