The Mt. Whitney Pioneers baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Monache Marauders to 0 in the Pioneers league win on Friday.

The Pioneers now own a 13-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Porterville for a East Yosemite test on Monday, May 4. Mt. Whitney will play a Panthers team coming off a 3-1 league loss to El Diamante (Visalia, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 9-15.

With the defeat, Monache drops to 18-7 on the year. The Marauders travel to Golden West (Visalia, CA) to play the Trailblazers in a East Yosemite test on Monday, May 4.
