New York High School Softball - Voorheesville bounces Lansingburgh
May 10, 2022: Voorheesville, NY 12186 The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Voorheesville Blackbirds (Voorheesville, NY) and the visiting Lansingburgh Knights (Troy, NY), saw Voorheesville's softball squad achieve victory over Lansingburgh by a count of 17-0.
The Blackbirds now sport a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they host Cohoes for a Section 2 Colonial match on Wednesday, May 11. Voorheesville will face a Tigers squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 10-5.
With the loss, Lansingburgh falls to 2-12 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Ichabod Crane (Valatie, NY) to face the Riders in a Section 2 Colonial match on Thursday, May 12. The Riders enter the match with a record of 15-0. Ichabod Crane won 13-1 in their recent league match against Schalmont (Schenectady, NY)
