New York High School Softball - Marlboro Central bounces Rondout Valley
May 10, 2022: Marlboro, NY 12542 Marlboro Central Dukes (Marlboro, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rondout Valley Ganders (Accord, NY), 7-3 in a league challenge.
The Dukes now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they host Saugerties for a Mid Hudson Athletic challenge on Thursday, May 12. Marlboro Central will face a Sawyers squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY). The Sawyers record now stands at 7-6.
With the loss, Rondout Valley falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Ganders host Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY) to face the Goldbacks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12. The Goldbacks enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Newburgh Free Academy lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Valley Central (Montgomery, NY)
