Virginia High School Softball - Staunton River gets by Jefferson Forest
May 10, 2023: Moneta, VA 24121 The Staunton River Golden Eagles got by the visiting Jefferson Forest Cavaliers softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league battle.
The Golden Eagles (16-3) will now prepare for their battle against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers go into the Blue Ridge battle with a 10-10 record. In their last battle, Lord Botetourt nudged Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 8-5, in a league battle.
The Cavaliers now sport a 8-10 record. They play next when they host Rustburg for a Seminole battle on Friday, May 12. Jefferson Forest will meet a Red Devils squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Glass (Lynchburg, VA). The Red Devils record now stands at 8-6.
