In Saturday's non-league test, the Fairview Warriors (Fairview Park, OH) baseball team routed the visiting Open Door Christian Patriots (Elyria, OH), by a margin of 17-9.

The Warriors now hold a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Trinity for a Chagrin Valley - Metro test on Monday, May 12. Fairview will play a Trojans team coming off a 18-0 league loss to Lutheran West (Rocky River, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 1-8.

With the defeat, Open Door Christian drops to 2-12 on the year. The Patriots host Oberlin (Oberlin, OH) to play the The Phoenix in a non-league test on Monday, May 12. The The Phoenix go into the test with a record of 4-13. Oberlin lost 5-1 in their recent non-league test against Independence (Independence, OH)
