In Wednesday's league challenge, the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) baseball squad the visiting Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA), by a final score of 5-3.

With the win, Halifax County upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Comets host Bassett (Bassett, VA) to battle the Bengals in a Piedmont challenge on Thursday, May 12. The Bengals come into the challenge with a record of 5-13. Bassett won 1-0 in their recent league outing against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA)
