Connecticut High School Softball - Darien bounces Ridgefield
May 11, 2022: Darien, CT 06820 Darien Blue Wave (Darien, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT), 7-1 in a league challenge.
The Blue Wave now own a 7-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stamford for a Fairfield County challenge on Friday, May 13. Darien will battle a Black Knights squad coming off a 10-8 league win over Norwalk (Norwalk, CT). The Black Knights record now stands at 6-9.
With the loss, Ridgefield falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Tigers host St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT) to face the Cadets in a Fairfield County match on Thursday, May 12. The Cadets go into the match with a record of 11-5. St. Joseph won 6-0 in their recent league match against Staples (Westport, CT)
