New York High School Softball - Le Roy nudges Letchworth
May 11, 2022: Le Roy, NY 14482 The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Le Roy Oatkan Knights (Le Roy, NY) and the visiting Letchworth Indians (Gainesville, NY), saw Le Roy's softball squad nip Letchworth by a count of 3-2.
The Oatkan Knights now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hornell for a non-league match on Saturday, May 14. Le Roy will face a Red Raiders squad coming off a 7-1 league loss to Haverling (Bath, NY). The Red Raiders record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, Letchworth moves to 4-5 on the season. The Indians host School of the Arts (Rochester, NY) to meet the Silverhawks in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 12. The Silverhawks go into the battle with a record of 3-3. School of the Arts lost 23-3 in their recent non-league battle against Bishop Kearney (Rochester, NY)
