May 11, 2023: Fort Fairfield, ME 04742 In Thursday's league contest, the Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME) softball team overwhelmed the host Fort Fairfield Tigers (Fort Fairfield, ME), by a margin of 31-2.
With the triumph, Ashland moves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Hornets host Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME) to play the Warriors in a Class D North contest on Monday, May 15. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 8-0. Southern Aroostook won 25-14 in their recent league contest against Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME)
In their next game, the Tigers play the Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) in a Class D North contest, on Friday, May 12. Fort Fairfield will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Owls come into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 10-6 league loss to Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME).
