May 11, 2024: Aberdeen, NJ 07747 The Middletown North Lions (Middletown, NJ) softball nipped the host Matawan Regional Huskies (Aberdeen, NJ), 1-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Lions (14-4) will now prepare for their bout against Central Regional (Bayville, NJ). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 16-2 record. In their last bout, Central Regional held off Raritan (Hazlet, NJ), 14-4, in a non-league bout.
The Huskies now possess a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Manasquan for a Shore - B North bout on Tuesday, May 14. Matawan Regional will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 9-5 non-league loss to Southern Regional (Manahawkin, NJ). The Warriors record now stands at 11-7.
