New York High School Softball - Lake Placid bounces Minerva
May 12, 2022: Lake Placid, NY 12946 Lake Placid Bombers (Lake Placid, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Minerva Mountaineers (Olmstedville, NY), 13-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Bombers now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chazy for a Section 7 Mountain Valley challenge on Friday, May 13. Lake Placid will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 9-6 non-league loss to Willsboro Central (Willsboro, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 3-6.
With the loss, Minerva falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host Boquet Valley (Elizabethtown, NY) to battle the Griffins in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 13. The Griffins enter the challenge with a record of 7-3.
