Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Connersville upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Spartans host Greensburg (Greensburg, IN) to battle the Pirates in a Eastern Indiana test on Monday, May 15. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 9-9. Greensburg lost 14-2 in their recent league test against East Central (St. Leon, IN)
