Missouri High School Baseball - Mt. Vernon nips Lamar
May 12, 2025: Lamar, MO 64759 The Mt. Vernon Mountaineers baseball team scored 4 runs and held the host Lamar Tigers to 3 in the Mountaineers non-league win on Monday.
The Mountaineers now hold a 14-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Purdy for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 13. Mt. Vernon will play a Eagles team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Miller (Miller, MO). The Eagles record now stands at 15-8.
With the defeat, Lamar drops to 15-6 on the year. The Tigers host Seneca (Seneca, MO) to play the Indians in a non-league test on Thursday, May 15. The Indians go into the test with a record of 15-7. Seneca won 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Wheatland (Wheatland, MO)
