Maine High School Softball - Leavitt bounces Messalonskee
May 13, 2022: Oakland, ME 04963 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) and the host Messalonskee Eagles (Oakland, ME), saw Leavitt's softball squad nip Messalonskee by a count of 5-0.
The Hornets now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Maranacook for a non-league match on Saturday, May 14. Leavitt will face a Black Bears squad coming off a 6-5 non-league win over St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME). The Black Bears record now stands at 7-1.
With the loss, Messalonskee falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME) to face the Vikings in a Class A North match on Monday, May 16. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 6-2. Oxford Hills lost 9-3 in their recent league match against Brunswick (Brunswick, ME)
