Virginia High School Soccer - Staunton knocks off Fort Defiance
May 13, 2024: Fort Defiance, VA 24437 Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA), 4-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Storm face the Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) in a Shenandoah challenge, on Wednesday, May 15. Staunton will attempt to better on its 13-1 season record. The Gladiators enter the challenge with a 0-14 record after their 6-0 league loss to Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA).
The Indians now have a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stuarts Draft for a Shenandoah challenge on Wednesday, May 15. Fort Defiance will face a Cougars team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 5-8.
