The crowd at Monday's league match between the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) and the visiting Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA), saw Nelson County's softball squad nip Chatham by a count of 3-1.

The Governors now sport a 3-16 record. They take the field next when they host Chatham for a Dogwood match on Monday, May 13. Nelson County will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 6-3 league win over Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 8-8.
