May 13, 2024: Eau Claire, WI 54701 Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes (Eau Claire, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting River Falls Wildcats (River Falls, WI), 4-3 in a league challenge.
The Old Abes now own a 3-17 record. They take the field next when they host Eau Claire North for a Big Rivers challenge on Tuesday, May 14. Eau Claire Memorial will battle a Huskies squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Rice Lake (Rice Lake, WI). The Huskies record now stands at 9-12.
With the loss, River Falls falls to 8-16 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Chippewa Falls (Chippewa Falls, WI) to battle the Cardinals in a Big Rivers challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 19-5. Chippewa Falls lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Kimberly (Kimberly, WI)
