Illinois High School Softball - Dunbar can't get by Little Village
May 13, 2025: Chicago, IL 60623 Little Village Phoenix (Chicago, IL) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Dunbar Mightymen (Chicago, IL), 3-2 in a league game.
With the triumph, Little Village improves its record to 2-6 on the year. The Phoenix travel to Jones (Chicago, IL) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, May 16. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 16-4. Jones 7-7 in their recent non-league game against Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL)
The Mightymen now hold a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Phillips for a Chicago Public Blue South game on Wednesday, May 14. Dunbar will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Brooks (Chicago, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-5.
