Maine High School Softball - Fort Kent knocked off by Ashland
May 14, 2021: Ashland, ME 04732 In Friday's non-league contest, the Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Fort Kent Warriors (Fort Kent, ME), by a margin of 18-6.
With the triumph, Ashland moves its record to 8-0 on the year. The Hornets travel to Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME) to play the Warriors in a Class D North contest on Monday, May 17. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 9-1. Southern Aroostook won 25-6 in their recent non-league contest against East Grand (Dansforth, ME)
In their next game, the Warriors play the Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME) in a Class C North contest, on Saturday, May 15. Fort Kent will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Shiretowners come into the contest with a 7-1 record after their 14-2 league win over Washington Academy (East Machias, ME).
