Maine High School Softball - Thornton Academy loses to Cheverus
May 14, 2024: Saco, ME 04072 The Cheverus Stags softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Thornton Academy Trojans to 5 in the Stags league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Cheverus moves its record to 10-0 on the year. The Stags host Portland (Portland, ME) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Class A South game on Wednesday, May 15. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 8-3. Portland won 5-1 in their recent league game against Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME)
In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Biddeford Tigers (Biddeford, ME) in a Class A South game, on Wednesday, May 15. Thornton Academy will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 5-4 record after their 17-0 league win over Noble (North Berwick, ME).
