Northwest Indians (Canal Fulton, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Coventry Comets (Akron, OH), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 11-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buckeye for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 16. Northwest will battle a Bucks squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Rocky River (Rocky River, OH). The Bucks record now stands at 19-6.

With the loss, Coventry falls to 15-10 on the campaign.
