Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA) fans left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA), 7-1 in a league match.

With the triumph, Oil City advances its record to 6-11 on the season. The Oilers travel to Rocky Grove (Franklin, PA) to battle the Orioles in a non-league match on Thursday, May 15. The Orioles come into the match with a record of 9-8. Rocky Grove won 11-0 in their recent league match against Jamestown (Jamestown, PA)

The Knights now have a 9-10 record.
