The Salem Lions softball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Mitchell Bluejackets to 3 in the Lions non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Salem improves its record to 10-14 on the year. The Lions travel to Springs Valley (French Lick, IN) to clash with the Blackhawks in a non-league game on Thursday, May 18. The Blackhawks come into the game with a record of 9-9. Springs Valley lost 12-0 in their recent non-league game against Corydon Central (Corydon, IN)

In their next game, the Bluejackets clash with the New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, IN) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 17. Mitchell will attempt to improve on its 13-12 season record.
