The Kettering Captains baseball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Avondale Yellowjackets to 4 in the Captains non-league win on Thursday.

The Captains now hold a 14-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Lyon for a Lakes Valley test on Friday, May 16.

With the defeat, Avondale drops to 8-15 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Walled Lake Western (Walled Lake, MI) to play the Warriors in a non-league test on Friday, May 16. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 12-14. Walled Lake Western won 5-2 in their recent league test against South Lyon East (South Lyon, MI)
