The Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA) softball routed the visiting Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA), 18-2 in Thursday's league outing.

The Ponies now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nandua for a Eastern Shore outing on Tuesday, May 20. Chincoteague will encounter a Warriors team coming off a 10-0 league loss to Arcadia (Oak Hall, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-10.

With the loss, Northampton moves to 3-13 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Arcadia (Oak Hall, VA) to encounter the Firebirds in a Eastern Shore outing on Monday, May 19. The Firebirds come into the outing with a record of 11-7. Arcadia won 10-0 in their recent league outing against Nandua (Onley, VA)
