In Friday's league game, the visiting Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers baseball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Rising Sun Shiners.

The Hilltoppers (3-16) will now prepare for their game against Southwestern (Hanover, IN). The Rebels enter the Ohio River Valley game with a 10-13 record. In their last game, Southwestern held off South Ripley (Versailles, IN), 7-2, in a league game.

Next, the Shiners face the North Decatur Chargers (Greensburg, IN) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 16. Rising Sun will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Chargers enter the game with a 9-7 record after their 1-0 league win over Southwestern (Shelbyville, IN).
