Connecticut High School Softball - Northwestern Regional bounces Gilbert
May 16, 2022: Winsted, CT 06098 Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Gilbert Yellowjackets (Winsted, CT), 20-4 in a league challenge.
The Highlanders now own a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thomaston for a Berkshire challenge on Wednesday, May 18.
With the loss, Gilbert falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Wamogo Regional (Litchfield, CT) to battle the Warriors in a Berkshire challenge on Tuesday, May 17. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 3-10.
