Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host High Point Eagles (Beltsville, MD), 19-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bladensburg for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 18. Laurel will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 27-25 non-league win over Parkdale (Riverdale, MD). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, High Point falls to 4-7 on the campaign.
