Illinois High School Softball - Lakes bounces Grant Community
May 16, 2024: Fox Lake, IL 60020 Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL) and the host Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL), witnessed Lakes's softball squad tip Grant Community by a count of 9-4.
The Eagles now sport a 15-13 record. They play next when they travel to Grayslake North for a Northern Lake County match on Friday, May 17. Lakes will face a Knights squad coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Warren Township (Gurnee, IL). The Knights record now stands at 5-19.
With the loss, Grant Community moves to 11-17 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Mundelein (Mundelein, IL) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Friday, May 17. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 29-1. Mundelein lost 7-6 in their recent non-league match against Antioch (Antioch, IL)
