THE TORREY PINES LADY FALCONS LOST THEIR 1ST HOME GAME ALL SEASON GOING 10-1-1 ON THEIR BRAND NEW FIELD FALLING 3-2 TO SAN MARCOS IN THE CIFSDS OPEN DIVISION PLAYOFFS YESTERDAY TO END THEIR OUTSTANDING SEASON.THE FALCONS STRANDED 6 INCLUDING THE TYING RUN ON 2ND BASE WITH 1 OUT IN THE 7TH INNING TO FINISH THE SEASON WITH A 21-6-2 RECORD AS WELL AS WINNING THE NORTH COUNTY COASTAL LEAGUE. TORREY PINES TRIED HARD INCLUDING A DOUBLE STEAL OF HOME IN THE 5TH INNING AS THE FALCONS WERE 6 FOR 7 IN STOLEN BASE ATTEMPTS IN THE CONTEST. SENIOR AVA FAGIN WENT 2-3 WITH A STOLEN BASE WHILE JUNIOR KELLY WHELIHAN WENT 2-4 WITH A RUN SCORED AND 3 STOLEN BASES FOR TORREY PINES.
