Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) followers exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they saw their lacrosse team gain a win over the visiting Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC), 15-12 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Laney advances its record to 18-2 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Apex Friendship (Apex, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 20. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 15-7. Apex Friendship won 13-4 in their recent non-league game against Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC)

The Pirates now sport a 15-6 record.
