Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bacon Academy Bobcats (Colchester, CT), 4-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Fitch improves its record to 10-5 on the year. The Falcons host Waterford (Waterford, CT) to play the Lancers in a Eastern Connecticut - Large game on Sunday, May 18. The Lancers enter the game with a record of 15-1. Waterford won 9-0 in their recent non-league game against Westerly (Westerly, RI)

The Bobcats now hold a 5-10 record. They play next when they host RHAM for a non-league game on Saturday, May 17. Bacon Academy will play a Raptors squad coming off a 14-10 league win over Tolland (Tolland, CT). The Raptors record now stands at 8-7.
