Maine High School Softball - Mount Abram topped by Dirigo
May 16, 2025: Dixfield, ME 04224 Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Mount Abram Roadrunners (Strong, ME), 15-0 in a league game.
With the triumph, Dirigo upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Cougars host Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME) to play the Phoenix in a Class C South game on Monday, May 19. The Phoenix enter the game with a record of 7-4. Spruce Mountain won 9-4 in their recent league match against Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME)
In their next game, the Roadrunners confront the Hall-Dale Bulldogs (Farmingdale, ME) in a Class C South match, on Monday, May 19. Mount Abram will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 8-1 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Nokomis (Newport, ME).
