Maine High School Softball - Dirigo bounces Winthrop
June 2, 2025: Winthrop, ME 04364 The Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) softball routed the host Winthrop Ramblers (Winthrop, ME), 9-1 in Monday's league outing.
The Cougars now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monmouth Academy for a Class C South outing on Wednesday, June 4. Dirigo will encounter a Mustangs team coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-0.
With the loss, Winthrop moves to 3-10 on the season. The Ramblers travel to Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME) to encounter the Greyhounds in a Class C South outing on Tuesday, June 3. The Greyhounds come into the outing with a record of 9-4. Lisbon lost 5-2 in their recent league outing against Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME)
