May 16, 2025: Sherman Station, ME 04782 Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Fort Kent Warriors (Fort Kent, ME), 5-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Katahdin upgrades its record to 6-0 on the year. The Cougars host Hodgdon (Hodgdon, ME) to play the Hawks in a Class D North game on Monday, May 19. The Hawks enter the game with a record of 2-4. Hodgdon won 10-8 in their recent league game against Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME)
The Warriors now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Fort Fairfield for a non-league game on Monday, May 19. Fort Kent will play a Tigers squad coming off a 13-2 league loss to Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 0-5.
