The crowd at Saturday's league battle between the South Vermillion Wildcats (Clinton, IN) and the host Covington Trojans (Covington, IN), saw South Vermillion's baseball team get by Covington by a tally of 6-5.

The Wildcats (6-15) will now prepare for their battle against Terre Haute South Vigo (Terre Haute, IN). The Braves enter the non-league battle with a 8-12 record. In their last battle, Terre Haute South Vigo held off West Vigo (West Terre Haute, IN), 10-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Trojans face the North Vermillion Falcons (Cayuga, IN) in a Wabash River battle, on Monday, May 18. Covington will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 3-13 record after their 11-2 league loss to Riverton Parke (Montezuma, IN).
