May 17, 2021: Clendenin, WV 25071 Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) and the visiting Clay County Panthers (Clay, WV), saw Hoover's baseball squad knock off Clay County by a count of 16-1.
Coming up next, the Huskies play the Logan Wildcats (Logan, WV) in a Cardinal battle, on Tuesday, May 18. Hoover will attempt to move on its 11-7 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 10-4 record after their 16-0 league win over Mingo Central (Matewan, WV).
The Panthers now possess a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Roane County for a Little Kanawha battle on Thursday, May 20. Clay County will play a Raiders squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Ravenswood (Ravenswood, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 7-4.
