Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN), 5-1 in a league test.

With the win, Hammond Central upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Wolves travel to Whiting (Whiting, IN) to battle the Oilers in a non-league test on Friday, May 20. The Oilers go into the game with a record of 9-8. Whiting lost 16-5 in their recent non-league game against Hobart (Hobart, IN)

The Governors (10-7) will now prepare for their game against Hobart (Hobart, IN). The Brickies go into the non-league game with a 17-8 record.
