The Salem Witches routed the visiting Malden Golden Tornados softball squad by a count of 8-2 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Witches (5-10) will now prepare for their battle against Winthrop (Winthrop, MA). The Vikings go into the Northeast battle with a 2-12 record. In their last battle, Winthrop was routed by Gloucester (Gloucester, MA), 20-1, in a league battle.
